During my college days I used to
paint a lot and this is one of the few paintings in soft pastel that I have
done entitled “Nude On The Bed”. I’ve always used watercolour as my primary
medium and I’ve always painted nude figures... naturally because the female form
has the most graceful lines.
Now I have a career that is totally unlike to that which I studied at school, because a first love is an ember that sits right in your heart...
Awesome! Great works :)

DeleteThis is such a calm and serene art work. Very contemplative :D
ReplyDeleteYour right, Jing even the pose of the figure is a contemplative one :)
DeleteLoving the title of this article. I hope you're painting again. That painting looks really beautiful. There's a certain solemnity to it.
ReplyDeleteI hope that I will find the courage & the strength to paint again, it has been a while since the last time I did. I am concentrating on footwear designing now, maybe in a few more years I might find myself holding a paintbrush again.
DeleteGo for your dreams!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I made this 20 years ago :D
DeleteI'm experiencing some sort of deja vu here. I've read this and commented on this recently, even before you posted it on Pinoy Bloggers. I thought my comment got posted.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you: you can't put art aside and it will always find a way to come out. Being a Fine Arts graduate (not working in the art field, though) who used to be an in-between artist for TOEI Animation and an illustrator for textbooks (that weren't racist, by the way), I feel you. I still doodle on my notebooks during meetings. My advice is you give in to your muse when an inspiration strikes. Also, don't forget to share. More power to you!
Sorry about the deja vu part. It's funny how life turns out far from what you first planned out. But you are lucky too because you got educated in the field of your interest. It is also nice to know that not only I doodle whenever, wherever.
DeleteThis painting is lovely. Reminds me of myself when I feel like crying
